How to turn on WiFi hotspot on Windows 10
You may already be noticed that you have a WiFi hotspot section on your Windows 10 computer. But you may have failed to turn on the WiFi hotspot, if so, please follow the below steps to turn on WiFi hotspot on your Windows 10 computer.
How to create WiFi hotspot in Windows 10 ?
Step 1: Turn on WiFi on your Windows PC.
Step 2: Press both the Windows and X keys together and launch Command Prompt (Admin).
Step 3: In the Command Prompt type the below command.
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=TECHAntena key=password
You can replace TECHAntena with your own SSID which means your hotspot name and password with your own password.
You have now successfully created WiFi hotspot on your PC. Now we have to turn on WiFi hotspot on the PC.
How to turn on WiFi hotspot on your Windows 10 PC?
Before you closing command prompt type the below command.
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
You have now successfully turned on WiFi hotspot on your PC. Note that you don’t have shared internet connection through the WiFi hotspot, if you want to share the internet via hotspot please follow the below instructions.
Step 1: Press Windows & X keys together and select Network Connections.
Step 2: Now right click on your internet connection which you want to share and click on Properties.
Step 3: Now go to the sharing tab and click to Allow network sharing. Now click on Select a private network connection and choose the Local Area Connection * 13 from the navigation menu and click OK (See the below screenshot).
You have now shared your internet connection through the WiFi hotspot, now if you want to turn off WiFi hotspot launch Command Prompt and give the below command.
netsh wlan stop hostednetwork
