Useful Windows keyboard shortcut keys
There are hundreds of keyboard shortcuts in windows which will make faster your computer usage. I have already published an article on how to set custom keyboard shortcut for programs in windows. Here I am sharing you some useful windows built-in keyboard shortcut keys and its usage.
- Open File Menu options in currently opened program : Alt + F
- To Edit options in current program : Alt + E
- Switch between opened programs : Alt + Tab
- To close the currently active program : Alt + F4
- Opens the properties window of currently selected file or document : Alt + Enter
- To close all background running programs : Windows Key+ Home
- Open Universal Help window of any program : F1
- How to Rename any selected file : F2
- Refresh the opened window : F5
- Create a new blank document in some software in Windows : Ctr + N
- To open a file from any program : Ctr + O
- To select all content in current window : Ctr + A
- Change selected text to Bold : Ctr + B
- Change selected text to Italics : Ctr + I
- Change selected text to be underlined : Ctr + U
- Open the Find Window from any program : Ctr + F
- To Save any document file from any program : Ctr + S

- Highlights from current position to beginning of a line : Shift + Home
- Highlights from current position to end of the line : Shift + End
- Goes to the End of current document : Ctr + End
- Move one word to the left at a time : Ctr + Left Arrow
- Move one word to the Right at a time : Ctr + Right Arrow
- To open the Start menu : Ctr + Esc
- Open Task manager in windows : Ctr + Shift + Esc
