How to add hibernate in Windows 8/ Windows 10 start-menu power options?

You may already noticed that, there is no hibernate option in Windows start-menu power options. Then you may think that how do you hibernate your windows computer. I am also thinking like you, and I searched for hibernate option in my Windows 10 computer. Finally I found a way to hibernate my computer easily.

I changed the power button action behavior to hibernate my computer. Yesterday I formatted my computer and I again tried to change the power button action behavior. When I was changing this settings there I found a link like “Change settings that are currently unavailable”. I just clicked on it, then it activated the shut-down settings options below the same window.

How to add hibernate option in Windows 8/ Windows 10 start-menu power settings?

Step 1: From the Windows taskbar, right click on the battery icon and  select power options. Or you can launch power options from the windows control panel.

Launch power options

Open Control panel > System and Security > and launch Power options.

Step 2: In windows Power options from the left side panel select ‘Choose what the power button does‘.

Step 3: Now click on ‘Change settings that are currently unavailable‘.

Step 4: You will be now activated the shut-down settings in the bottom of this Window. Select all the items you need in Windows start-menu power options and click save changes.
